EQUIPMENT USED: Fujifilm XPRO2 and Fujinon 23mm f1.4, 35mm f2, 18-55mm f2.8-4, and 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 lenses shot in Classic Chrome.

ABOVE. STORE 52. Taken on the morning right after Christmas when the official announcement of the store closing was made public. Shot with 35mm lens at f8, 1/6400s, and ISO 2000.

THE WRITING ON THE WALL. Lease sign on Sunnyvale/Saratoga Road. Back in mid-October on the way back from dropping off the deposit at the bank I noticed the sign. At the time we already had our suspicions of the possible closure so it came as no surprise when I looked it up online and saw that our location was listed. Shot with 23mm lens at f11, 1/1250s, ISO 2000.

WEEK 3. Holiday frames on front side of FT1 are moved to cash wrap and replaced by wall decor.

WEEK 3 (end of). Frames on FT2 cleared out and transferred to store 48 and replaced with clearance items.

WEEK 4. Mercer frames on back of FT1 transferred and replaced with small display fixtures for sale. FT2 cleared and broken down and prepared for shipment back to RDC.

WEEK 4 (end of). Wall decor on FT1 transferred. FT1 tables shipped to RDC. Remaining tables filled with clearance items and small fixtures for sale.

WEEK 5. Further consolidation of clearance to front tables.

WEEK 5. All remaining clearance put into bags and sold as grab bags for $5.

WEEK 5. Last day of store operation (morning). Remaining $5 grab bags (and Blanca and Jasmine in the background keeping a vigilant eye).

WEEK 5. Last day of store operation (afternoon). After $5 grab bags were sold. Only a few small fixtures and random bits and pieces remain.

WEEK 5. Last day of store operation (evening).

THE ALTERNATE. Whenever we told a customer about the closure we had to be sure to emphasize that it was just the location that was closing and not the company. Shot with 23mm lens at f1.4, 1/4000, ISO 2000.

BOGO. The One Cent Sale carried on despite the store closing. Shot with 35mm lens at f2, 1/850, ISO 2000.

FOR OLD TIMES SAKE. Last canvas pile that I'll ever make at Store 52. Shot with 35mm lens at f5.6, 1/200, ISO 2000.

STILL OPEN. Wall decor displayed on seasonal table. Shot with 35mm lens at f2, 1/1250, ISO 1600.

WEEK 2 (end of). Transferring and packing of photo frames in progress.

WEEK 3. H-fixtures cleared out and photo frames transferred and packed.

WEEK 3 (end of). Designer wall paper torn down and shelves removed. H-fixtures filled with clearance items.

WEEK 4. Remaining clearance and other miscellaneous items consolidated to H- fixtures and wall.

WEEK 5. Remaining clearance before being placed in $5 grab bags.

WEEK 5. H-fixtures cleared and remaining clearance put into $5 grab bags.

Week 2 (end of). Photo frame endcap 2 before frames have been transferred out. Shot with 23mm lens at f1.4, 1/2400, ISO 2000.

Week 3. Mirrors used to fill in empty H-fixtures. Shot with 23mm lens at f2, 1/1400, ISO 1600.

Week 3. H-fixtures after all the photo frames have been cleared out and packed. Shot with 23mm lens at f6.4, 1/1250, ISO 1600.

WEEK 3. Photo frame section before frames have been transferred.

WEEK 3 (mid). Transferring of photo frames in progress.

WEEK 3 (mid). Photo frame section turned into mini-gallery for custom frame samples and wall decor.

WEEK 4 (end of). H-fixtures before remaining canvas and wall decor are transferred.

WEEK 5. All wall decor have been transferred, only a few custom samples remain. Scrap mat boards used to fill empty endcaps.

WEEK 5. Last day of operation. Except for a few pieces of foamcore everything else was either sold or thrown away.
