ILLUSTRATIONS of Thomas and Teresa from THDATE (project HERO).
The series began as a Secret Santa gift for a co-worker from work. The crew at the time was like a second family and I wanted my gift to be more personal then just a gift card. The first painting was well received so I decided to do one every year.
Each illustration contains elements from the world that Thomas and Teresa live in and personalized elements from the person that I had for Secret Santa that year. With each illustration I expanded Thomas and Teresa's world and the paintings became more and more complex.
After six years, due to change of management and turnover of staff, the tradition sadly came to an end. One day I hope to come back to Thomas and Teresa and continue their story.
MATERIALS USED: Watercolor on Arches 140lb hot press paper and 140lb cold press paper.
