THE COSPLAY: “This is my cosplay of Super Galaxy Nidalee from League of Legends! Nidalee was one of my first characters I ever cosplayed, and I fell in love with her. She quickly became one of my comfort cosplays and my goal is to make every skin of hers!
The most challenging part of this cosplay was actually seeing the bodysuit. I usually make my own patterns (because I went to design school) but I decided to buy a pattern and everything was just… off. Things didn’t fit right at all! So I had to take the whole thing apart and start from scratch and turn it into something I could be proud of. The small details on this costume are 3D printed, which were produced by my first time ever using modeling software, so I’m really proud of the tiny details all over this cosplay. The giant light on the back of the jacket actually spins in real life, and the spear can change lighting colors. I am so proud of how far I’ve come in cosplay and I can’t wait to keep learning!”
BIO: “Hi my names Mary and I’m a cosplay addict. I usually go by contrary_maryy_. I’ve been cosplaying for a little over a year now and it’s the best experience I’ve ever had. I have met so many new friends, gained so much self confidence, and pushed myself to make creations that I never thought I would be able to make. My favorite cosplays I’ve done are Snowbunny Nidalee and Qiyana, and I’m looking forward to cosplaying more League champions! I have also cosplayed BioShock’s Little Sister, Kida from Atlantis, and Raphtalia from Rising of the Shield Hero, amongst many others. I’m so excited to improve on this craft and to go on more cosplay adventures!!!”
