NEW PORTRAIT of a young Rachel Weisz. Watercolor on Fabriano 140lb Artistico cold press paper. Instead of using a color for the outline I tried a mixture of Dr. Ph. Martin's Hydrus sepia watercolor with a 1/3  of water to paint ratio left over to night to dry. I found that rewetting the mixture allowed for more precise lines and density of paint because I could control the amount of water needed to get a fine point with the brush while still having enough to have a proper flow. The paint was applied with a Winsor Newton Series 7 #1 brush.
