Witches arrive in open area. One witch carries a picnic basket. A shrine and various other items are already set up. Witches come from different directions (extreme foreround mid and background). NOTE: Include the three bundles with the doll making material.
Paired nature shot.
Tight mid shot of witches gathered at shrine. The center witch holds tarot cards while the others hold a crystal and tbd item. Focus on gesture and expression.
Close tight shots of tarot witch shuffling or spreading cards. Second frame tight shot of tarot witch holding spread cards in front of her face. Only lower half of face is being shown.NOTE: Tripod may need to be used so that aperture can be stopped down to get more depth of field.
Tight shot of witch levitating three cards between her hands.NOTE: Levitating effect is achieved by taping fishing line to cards to achieve effect. Check with Emily to see if she’s okay with using tape on cards. Tape will be low tack and is not suppose to rip when removed (but it’s not 100% guarenteed). If tape cannot be used, frames can be adjusted easily.
Witches are gathered around spread cards. Tarot witch is looking at tarot card guide book, the other two witches lean in and peer at the cards. Low level ground shot with shrine items in foreground? Paired with nature shot.
Overhead view of cards with various shrine items and crystals in frame.
Wide shot of witches gathered around shrine. Multiple spirits lurk in the woods behind them (and around them if trees are in foreground).NOTE: Spirit effect will be achieved by taking a long exposure while moving in place. Multiple exposures of spirits in different positions will be combined in post.
Paired nature shot.
Low angle shot of tarot witch holding book in one hand, her other hand hovers over cards (not in frame due to angle), behind her there are two spirits. Try different poses and camera angles before doing second exposure for spirits. Second frame is a tight mid shot of spirits in the woods.NOTE: Two exposures will be taken, one for the tarot witch and then a long exposure for the spirits (as it may be hard for the tarot card witch to hold completely still for the long exposure).
Wide angle shot of witches running through the woods. Unaware of the spirits around them. Spirits are present in the scene, but they are not seen by the witches.
Wide angle shot of witch. Tarot card levitates in her hands. Second frame is a tight headshot (fill frame) of witch holding card. Vary expression/gesture according to witch’s persona. Try several different poses/expressions.NOTE. To keep the framing consistent for each witch for the wide shot, use the camera’s multiple exposure mode (set to 3 exposures). For headshot, tripod will need to be used to get proper depth of field (play with the distance between face and card).
Wide angle shot or tight midshot (shot both) of witches holding hands in a circle with a card in between them, use gazes to direct viewer’s eye from witch to witch. Pair with nature or detail shot or tight headshot.
Solo wide shot and tight headshot for second witch. Wide shot pose can be similar but try to vary headshot (expression, position of card, etc)
Overhead shot of witches holding hands with cards. Additional cards are scattered around them. Try different positions and poses. Second frame is a detail shot of scattered cards. In both frames, if tarot cards have a nice back, have some of them face down?
Solo wide shot and tight headshot for third witch. Wide shot pose can be similar but try to vary headshot (expression, position of card, etc)
Wide shot of witches arriving in new scene. Witches are entering the scene (extreme back 3/4 angle view) and are looking up at the branches.
Tight head and shoulder shot of witches (staggered in scene) hanging tarot cards. Second frame, a tight shot of hanging tarot cards.
Witches staggered in a wide shot. One in the extreme foreground, another one sitting on a fallen log, and the last one sitting on the tree. Tarot cards are hanging from the tree’s branches. Three spirits are present in the background.
Horizontal wide shot of spirits in the same scene as previous shot except with no witches. Second frame, same composition but the spirits have moved towards the camera (on in the extreme foreground). NOTE. Use tripod to keep framing the same. Mulitple exposure shot combined in post.
